North Korea has been deliberately delaying thedeclaration of all its nuclear weapons programs including the UEP (UraniumEnrichment Program), which is the main reason for the stalled nuclear talks. North Korea was told to disable its key nuclearfacilities and declare weapons by the end of 2007, but its failure to do soresulted in the six party talks. My heart feels sympathy for the North Koreancitizens because the effect of these allied six party talks can be reallyterrible and hazardous to these feeble citizens. 

The six countries that areinvolved on the talk include the two Koreas,United States, China,Russia and Japan.The demand by these countries to North Koreais to give a complete account of the nuclear equipments, materials owned bythem and the technology and the purchasing activities related to the UEP. TheKorean government is not fulfilling their demand, which has led to the sixparty talks aiming to end of North Koreans Nuclear ambition. These countrieswould be insecure with a small country like North Korea producing huge amount of nuclearweapons and not signing NPT (Non Proliferation Treaty) with them. There is apossibility of these countries becoming hostile towards North Korean government.

I personally feel that thiscommunist country should state all its nuclear activities and sign the NPT withthe allied countries because the nuclear weapons production is not going to doany benefit to this economically undeveloped country. North Korean leader KimJong-il is focusing more on Nuclear Production whereas the other vital sectorsof the Korean society are neglected by him. The progress of this country is inone way blocked by the government which focusing more on spending all itscapital on nuclear reactors, missiles and other nuclear equipments. A largeamount of these weapons produced here are sold to other countries which canalso pose a great danger to the world and can help the deadly terrorism toflourish. An economically powerful country like US, which has experienced aSeptember 11 terrorist attack, will not keep a friendly relationship with a economicallyweak country like North Koreacarrying on nuclear activities without giving a statement and not signing a NPTwith its neighboring nations.

It is the time for Kim Jong –ilto really look into the Korean issue for his own happiness and welfare of hispeople. The North Korean issue can be resolved if it signs the NPT and if it issuccessful in stopping the allied six party talks and come out with a better solutionin co-operation with its neighboring countries.
